She is one of the god kings, who founded the Tribunal, along with Sotha Sil and Vivec. As a mortal, she was married to Lord Indoril Nerevar, and the three first acted as his counselors. She, Vivec and Sotha Sil caused also the transformation of the Chimer, who then became the Dunmer, when the DaedraAzura cursed them for breaking the oath they swore to her and Nerevar to never make use of the Tools of Kagrenac on the Heart of Lorkhan. Later she became the lover of Vivec. In The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and the expansion Tribunal, her personality has changed much and she became obsessed with power. In this part of the game series, Azura's prophecy also becomes true, that Nerevar would return. She dies ca. 3E 427 in the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil by the hand of the player, who is considered the Nerevarine.
